Preston Harmony Posted March 11, 2023 Report Posted March 11, 2023 If anybody has ever seen these older, wrecker dollies or how do you use them any input would be helpful thanks Quote
repobob Posted March 30, 2023 Report Posted March 30, 2023 Those look like a homemade version of the Weldbilt 3-piece dollies just a heck of a lot lighter. If memory serves me, you would lift one end of the vehicle then assemble the dollies & roll them under the vehicle. Then lower it onto the dollies & hook the vehicle from the other side & off you went. Some of us back in the day used to cheat. hook & lift one end up high & using jack stands put far back on each side roll the dollies under. Then lower it & pull the stands out & off you went. 1 Quote
Preston Harmony Posted April 4, 2023 Author Report Posted April 4, 2023 That’s what I have been doing with the jack stands works pretty well Quote
rreschran Posted April 2 Report Posted April 2 I used 6x6 blocks set under the casualty vehicles side rails raising one end of the vehicle lifted by the tow truck's cable, then lowering atop the blocks to serve as a Teeter Totter. Worked perfectly where no unhook and repositioning the wrecker was necessary when using pole and pan dollies. 1 Quote Randall C. Resch
