Big Boys Boat

A local marina took advantage of Big Boy’s Towing & Recovery’s boat transport service to move this massive houseboat on it’s Kalyn Siebert VersaMAX 50-ton trailer. Two heavy-duty units from Big Boy’s lifted the vessel onto the trailer, then the oversized load was joined  by two escort vehicles on the voyage to its next port of call. with locations in Rolla, Pacific and St. Louis, Mo., Big Boy’s Towing & Recovery offers light- to heavy-duty towing and recovery, roadside assistance, in addition to its equipment transport services.

100,000-lb. Jaw Crusher? No Problem

Along with light-to heavy-duty towing and recovery, Alber’s Towing & Crane Service in Ashland, Ohio, performs specialized hauling for a wide range of large equipment including 100,000-lb. jaw crushers. The jaw crushers is a track-mounted machine used to crush rocks in mining and ore processing operations. The rock is dumped into the hopper (located at the front of the trailer), crushed in the crusher plant and discharged on the conveyor seen at the rear of the trailer.

Crane Carrier

Revelation Towing Inc. of Boiling Springs, S.C., transports a wide variety of equipment including excavators, loaders, paving equipment and more. Shown here is a Link-Belt 8670, 75-ton hydraulic truck crane on their Landoll trailer. The crane has a base weight of 76,118 lbs. gross vehicle weight. Stair Masters

The transport division at Mike’s Towing & Recovery, with locations in Bridgewater and Branchburg, N.J, handles complex transport jobs of a range of items including construction equipment, freight and materials and more. One of their more unusual transport jobs is delivering custom-built staircases for high end homes. Once the staircase sections are loaded and transported to the home, the knuckle boom is used to place them inside the structure.
