This is the fourth time Peterbilt has received the award, which acknowledges the accomplishments of companies that are focused on the employment of women in the trucking and transportation fields. “Cultivating a diverse workforce is critical to Peterbilt’s success and a large part of that is championing the development of women leaders within the organization. Receiving this award for the third straight year tells me Peterbilt is on the right path and of that I’m very proud,” said Jason Skoog, Peterbilt General Manager and PACCAR Vice President. Through its Diversity Council, created in 2016, Peterbilt committed to recruit, develop and promote a diverse workforce and providing equal opportunities and unique career paths for employees. The council’s mission is to cultivate an inclusive environment that fosters creativity, productivity, and mutual respect where all people feel like they belong and can succeed. Within the Diversity Council, the Peterbilt Women’s Initiative Network (PBWIN) has more than 100 members dedicated to championing the empowerment of women within Peterbilt through education, support, networking, personal growth and development opportunities.
