TowNews Posted August 2, 2021 Share Posted August 2, 2021 OKLAHOMA CITY - No one was injured after shots were fired overnight at a southwest Oklahoma City apartment complex, police said. The incident happened about 3 a.m. at the Rosemont Apartments near S Country Club Drive and Interstate 240. A man's vehicle was being towed when the man tried to ram his vehicle into the tow truck driver, police said. The security guard at the apartment complex tried to diffuse the situation and reportedly Tasered and pepper sprayed the man. The man continued to act aggressively and the security guard said he fired shots at the man. Police said the man tried to drive away from police when officers arrived. During a short chase, the man's vehicle hit several cars in the parking lot at the apartment complex. The chase suspect drove toward downtown and crashed his vehicle. While the man was being taken into custody, his vehicle caught on fire. The suspect, who has not been identified, was arrested on a complaint of assault with a deadly weapon.
