SUV, Tow Truck Collide On Interstate Near Vandalia

A SUV and tow truck collided Thursday evening on I-70, two miles east of Vandalia.

 

The crash happened at 6:48pm.

 

The SUV driven by 35-year-old Tiffany Winterrowd of St. Elmo and the tow truck driven by 27-year-old Henry Collins of St. Louis were both eastbound. The tow truck slowed due to other vehicles merging onto the interstate and the SUV rear-ended the tow truck. 

 

Winterrowd was transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries. Collins refused medical attention.

No citations were issued.
