1 dead, 2 hospitalized after accident on US Route 68 in Champaign County

 

Champaign County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash around 2 p.m. Monday afternoon. Deputies allege that Stanley drove left of center, avoiding a tow truck in the southbound lane but colliding with a pickup truck.

 

The pickup truck spun off the road and rolled onto its side. Stanley’s vehicle came to a stop in the middle of the road. He was pronounced dead by the coroner at the scene.

 

 

This is the result of what happens when someone doesn't respect the light and attempts to go around them.
