  1. They definitely appear to be similar however i dont have any frame of reference measurement wise between the two. In good news, the truck is now driveable and the PTO and wrecker all work!
  2. Figured Id post up an introduction. Im currently working on restoring a 1943 ex-Army Diamond T 969 wrecker with a Holmes W45 bed on it. Im planning on haunting the vintage equipment section a bit and hopefully make some contacts for parts for it. Every year we do a few WW2 vehicle convoys and every year something breaks down. The plan is to get this truck cleaned up and operational to be able to recover them as needed in period style haha.
  3. Im working on restoring a 1943 Diamond T 969 wrecker with a Holmes W45 wrecker bed on it and am in need of some parts so figured id post up to see what may be out there. Are there any suppliers that may be worth reaching out to for these parts? Anyone have something of this vintage for parts? Unfortunately some previous owner must have crashed it somehow and broke a tooth off of each gear and shattered the guard beyond repair. Not sure if these parts were shared with any of the civilian wreckers however I would assume so at least for a time before or after the war. The setup on the W35 seems to be extremely similar and may be the same stuff however I dont have access to a parts list for the W35 to confirm. I need the following PNs: Pinion Gear- ERH-3758 Ring Gear- ERH-3735 Guard- ERH-3583 Finally have the truck running so onto figuring out what else I need to get it running properly. Figure this is a good place to start haha.
