As President of the Garden State Towing Association, I regret to inform you that Mary Leigh Barbusin, our Executive Director has passed away on August 26, 2022. She was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at the end of last year and has been having on-going aggressive treatments this year. She has been with GSTA since 1996 and has become a part of our lives for 26 years. She has been a true friend and leader in the New Jersey and National towing industry. She brought joy and happiness to everyone that she met and came in contact with. She helped change and better the towing industry from the day she arrived to the end. I know we will sadly miss her and never forget the love, joy, dedication and commitment she gave to us and the towing community. She dedicated her life to make our towing community a better place for the future. I am grateful that our lives and our journey through life was able to meet and come together.Rest in Peace.We all will miss you.John GlassPresident-GSTAFuneral arrangements will consist of a very private celebration of life.Mary Leigh Barbusin died peacefully at home August 26, 2022, surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by her sister Darryl and her husband Steve Sewald. Her nephew Josh, his wife Lauren, and their children Asher and Roman. Her niece Chelsea Rose. Her sister Jane Barbusin. As well as countless friends and family of which she held so close to her heart Mary Leigh was the Executive Director for The Garden State Towman’s Association, where she received many accolades for her success in the industry. She was well known for her no-nonsense approach, and tenacious spirit. She will be missed by those who were fortunate enough to have worked alongside her.

This Light Duty Towing & Recovery Course is an eight hour course incorporating both classroom
and hands on instruction. A test and certification will conclude the course.
The fee for the seminar is $350.00 for GSTA members and $450.00 for non-members.

Angie Haines and Dennis Boyce represented the GSTA, from our Executive Board, at the annual TRAA Legislative Action Workshop & Hill Day. At this three-day conference, in Washington D.C. they met Senator Cory Booker and Congressman Andy Kim, among others. A number of workshops, panels, and meet and greets were attended.
