    Decking is not the right wording. This is part of sub frame. The mast bolsters and cylinders mount to the plate. In next pictures you will see the plate on the side of the frame has gussets. Not complete yet.

With all that iron on the rear it's sure to be close to being overweight on a tandem by the time you get done adding sides, etc. Just my thoughts... take it for what it's worth....about .02 cents.     Lots of work building it from scratch but the good thing is you will know your truck in and out and and build it how you want not to mention pride & joy. It will be a very good machine when you finish.

    I would rather build it Heavy and not have to worry about it again other than regular maintenance and grease,Than to build it light and have to repair it every time after I used it. For those that may not know,A Holmes 850 CAN AND WILL pull a house down.It doesn't stop or bypass.Something will break or the casualty will come to you. In Heavy-Duty there is no such thing as to heavy. Just Sayin'

    On your cylinder floor mounts cut a heavy angle iron piece between the mounts to keep them from folding over .
    Not bashing just a suggestion to make your mount stronger .

    Good question on weight. So far I think we are good on weight. Lets get some guesses on frt.,rear, and overall weights and we'll see what is at the end. Probably not a zack lift.  Thanks Rusty

    #1 question The cylinder is to big to go into the ext. boom. The ext. boom is a little over 1'' thick. #2 question It will not be an NRC. We are building our own under reach that is 120'' reach and all sections will be over 5/8 thick. But will lift and tilt by boom.

    I will post some pic. We have been real busy but we have tested it with 44000 fully extended 12' On boom strait out past tall board with just hydr. Under reach is on and has been in operation for a while. Will pic a fully loaded large trash truck Fully extended 10' out with essss.
