Highlights from Day 4 of NTEA #WorkTruckWeek2023

The fourth day of Work Truck Week 2023 (#WTW23) took place on Thursday, March 9, featuring a range of exciting sessions and press releases. One of the major events of the day was the NTEA Annual Meeting, during which David Scheitlin, director of operations at Holman – Manufacturing & Distribution, was installed as the 59th Board chair of NTEA. Scheitlin took over the position from Tina Albright, the immediate past Board chair.

 

Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to participate in a range of concurrent sessions. One of the special sessions was the Indiana LTAP Fleet Educational Program, which focused on the importance of selecting the right equipment for municipal fleets. Other sessions included "Creating a Roadmap to Increase Truck Dealer Commercial Vehicle Sales" and "Leadership Journeys - Highlighting Diverse Experiences." Attendees also had the chance to take part in the Work Truck Week Ride & Drive, an event that allowed them to test drive a range of different vehicles.

  

In addition to the sessions and events, Thursday also featured a number of press conferences. One of these was Switch-N-Go's talk on increasing the versatility of electric work trucks at WTW23. Ideanomics and VIA Motors also introduced the VTRUX Class 3 electric work truck, while Terminal Supply Company announced doubled capacity with facility expansion in Mexico at WTW23. Other press releases included Certified Power Solutions' launch of FleetPilot Connect telematics solution for snow removal at WTW23, Work Truck Solutions' expanded supply chain support, Volta Power Systems' release of a standardized power solution, and Viatec's announcement of the plug-in electric Genset, SmartPX. Finally, Lincoln Electric introduced the Ranger Air 260MPX Multi-Function Engine Drive at WTW23.

 

Overall, Thursday was another exciting day at Work Truck Week 2023, offering attendees a wide range of sessions and press releases that showcased the latest developments and innovations in the work truck industry.
