  1. The 650 is the only Holmes wrecker to have four pulleys total on the service lines.  The cable arrangement has always baffled me.  I wonder why Beasley did this?  I would guess to spread out the load and not stress the masthead.  Does anyone know the rationale behind it?

  3. Here is one from the 50's.

    Couple of  58 Chevys

    the story is .....they were driven by two young Navy sailors from the nearby base. They decided to drag race and took them out to a country road (at the time; now it is a major road leading to a regional airport). Apparently, being from out of state, they did not know the road ended abruptly at a three way intersection and when they got there, the cars got tangled up and went several hundred feet into the farm field.
