One crash on I-44 turned into three Friday morning sending multiple drivers to the hospital. But new legislation aims to prevent accidents upon accidents like this in the future.

Is it me or are Semi Drivers becoming increasingly more dangerous?

 

CDL - ELD and Whatever other letters aren't anything but that "LETTERS"

I am seeing the same as Semi's are becoming the worse offenders of the Slow Down Move Over. There are so many running over the speed limits these days, you have to wonder what's going on as you often see the company is tracking them.

Without a solid effort from law enforcement to write SDMO laws and commercial vehicle violations, truckers will continue behaviors that result in these kinds of crashes. The Office of Traffic Safety can create federal grants and funds for these kids of programs, but state agencies have to initiate them. I guess the old technology of speed governors has been lost or forgotten even though truck mounted GPS easily tracks vehicle speeds.     R.
