TowNews Posted October 22, 2019 Share Posted October 22, 2019 SEATTLE -- Authorities are investigating a deadly crash involving a tow truck and a pedestrian in North Seattle. It happened along Aurora Avenue N at N 97th Street Monday evening. Witnesses reported that a tow truck was traveling south along Aurora Avenue North. The driver of that truck was passing a vehicle that stopped for a person in the roadway. Witnesses said the woman in the roadway stepped out from behind the stopped vehicle and was then struck by the tow truck. Seattle Fire Department Medics attempted first aid on the woman, but she was declared dead at the scene. Officers spoke to the driver of the truck, who was cooperating with investigators and showed no signs of impairment.
