Documenting an Accident Scene

Question for WA folks, have you ever had a problem with state patrol when it comes to documenting accident scenes with photos or videos? I know many companies are now using drones and various other methods of documenting recoveries in order to clarify charges for insurance companies and trucking companies, but I've been told by some of my Washington providers that state patrol tells them they can't document the scene. Anybody have thoughts on this?

We can do most of what we need while LE is finishing their side of things. We are almost always there before we are needed.

It could be an agency requirement. The CHP says towers cannot photo any sdene without prior permission from the officer on scene. It's not an unreasonable policy.   R.
