Kevin Wayne “Butch” Shade Sr., 56, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away Friday, April 12, 2019, at his home.

 

Born Tuesday, March 26, 1963, in Martinsburg, he was the son of Robert E. Shade and Betty Shearer (Raymond).

 

Kevin was a tow truck driver for Wrenches and Wreckers Towing.

 

He was a member of the Hagerstown Speedway, Clear Spring Fire Department and South Berkeley Fire Department.

He attended Gateway Church.

 

He loved racing and hunting.

 

In addition to his mother, Kevin is survived by his three brothers, Robert Shade, Richard (Charles Harris) Pearrell and Brian (Peggy) Pearrell; two sisters, Betty (Jay) Schaumleffel and Barbara (Paul) Brunner; daughter, Michele (Thomas) Angelos; three sons, Dwayne (Angel) Shade, Devin Shade and Kevin Shade Jr.; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his father.

 

Services will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD, with Pastor James Caldwell officiating.

 

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, April 16, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m.

 

Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
