Berlin PD: Mom Critical After Tow Truck Crash, Baby OK (CT)

Recommended Posts

Awoman was seriously injured when her car slammed into the back of a stopped tow truck early Monday in Berlin, police said. Her 2-month-old — safely strapped in a car seat — is OK.

The crash happened shortly after 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Mill Street, Frontage Road and Worthington Ridge, where the tow truck was stopped at a red light, Deputy Chief Chris Ciuci said. It left Tyneka Jones in critical condition.

“We’re still trying to determine what caused it,” Ciuci said.

Officers from a regional accident reconstruction team are investigating, he said. Anyone who saw the crash is asked to call 860-828-7080 and ask for Berlin Traffic Officer John Flynn.
