TowNews Posted March 7, 2019 Share Posted March 7, 2019 John Stockton of Wareham, who leaves family in Buzzards Bay, died March 3 at home. He was 69. He was the son of the late John and Amy (Denson) Stockton. Mr. Stockton was born in Wareham and lived there for many years. He graduated from Bourne High School in 1967. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Stockton worked as a tow truck driver and auto mechanic for M. Sylvester Towing in Falmouth. He was a fan of the Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots, and enjoyed motorcycles and making models. He leaves seven children, John C. Stockton, Laura Stockton, Christopher J. Stockton, Crystal M. Stockton-Shortell, John S. Stockton, Jessica L. Stockton and Danielle Taylor; three sisters, Pat Gracia, Carol Blanchette and Ethel Morse, all of Buzzards Bay; a brother, Randy Stockton of Buzzards Bay; 19 grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. He was the father of the late Daniel Raymond Stockton. Visitation will be Thursday, March 7, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway in Wareham.
