LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Delong Road will be shut down for a short period of time Friday as crews remove a car that crashed into the ditch.

 

Police say around 5 a.m. they got a call about a car near some trees, but the driver was not around.

Authorities contacted the driver, who said he crashed around 11 p.m. Thursday.

 

The road was closed for a short time so the vehicle could be towed, but the tow truck driver fell and was taken to the hospital.

 

Crews will attempt to remove the car again around 9 a.m., at which time the road will be closed.
