(WJHG/WECP) - According to Florida Highway Patrol, two people are injured after a tow truck crashed into a Gulf Power utility truck, which caused it to crash into a second Gulf Power truck. Troopers said the accident happened at 2:50 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 231 and Johnny Lane in Bay County. Before the crash, they said the southbound outside lane of U.S. 231, near the intersection of Johnny Lane, was closed off by Gulf Power workers who were replacing a utility pole. A Ford F650 tow truck, driven by Justin Ledlow, 24, was towing a Chevrolet Tahoe while traveling in the outside southbound lane. Troopers said Ledlow observed signs, cones, and trucks and attempted to slow down, but failed to do so. The driver reportedly crashed into one utility truck, pushing it into a second one. The driver and passenger were taken to the hospital for serious injuries. The two Gulf Power trucks were unoccupied at the time of the crash.
