From Tow Times - Down for the Count

Recommended Posts

The flu and cold bugs have really hit my employees, my husband and me. While I’m at work today, the past couple of days I’ve felt like a losing boxer unable to get to my feet before the referee counts to ten  – down for the count.

When you run a small towing and recovery business, having one employee out sick can be a challenge, but it can still be doable. Having more than that out sick — including the boss — puts a lot more pressure on everyone else to step up.

I know that staying home, resting, taking care of myself and not going in to work and spreading germs is the best thing to do, but I still feel guilty about not being at work.

Lysol, disinfectant wipes, cough drops and Kleenex are now staples on my desk. I was down for the count in round one. Hoping these will help — and I don’t have to face round two.
