ProTower Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 We have been all over the place over the years from gift certificates, a turkey and a ham, hand full of cash, winter gear, hotel stay for the family at indoor pool and fun park, memberships, spa day for the dispatchers etc What do you do (if anything) for your employees at Christmas? If it is monetary, do you keep it even across the boards or weight it heavier to your more valuable staff? 1 Quote Mark
dperone Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 The only thing we found that is appreciated across the board is cash. We do the same amount for each employee and give it out a few weeks before the holiday to help with shopping. 1 1 Quote
rreschran Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 Besides cash bonuses, I hired an entire restaurant making it a private Christmas event. I played Santa, Christine was Elf. Dinner was served and gifts were given to employees and their littles. It was a fun evening. Ho, Ho, Hoooo ... Merry Christmas! ! ! ! 2 Quote Randall C. Resch
yoBdaBenO Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 My parents used to put together a food box. They did that for years, it was getting old and most didn't care. So, starting last year we went and purchased various gift cards at Costco. Put a different one in each envelope and let them choose their gift envelope. One had a hundred bill instead of a gift card. So, while the cost is a little more than the gift box it is appreciated more. Oh, there was a Christmas Bonus in November depending on how long the team member has been here. Sort of an incentive to continue to be a part of our team. Our turnover isn't much and we just hired another tech for the shop. I have been watching the Christmas Parties and I want to do more than bring in food for the day. We already do that a few times a year anyway. 1 1 Quote
