EdsTowing Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Had a Uhaul call the other night. Said that the front end alignment was out? I thought, how am I supposed to fix that on the road? But it was close to the shop, at the end of the day, and on my way home so... I pulled on scene and the 1st thing I see is the front tire was scuffed hard. I figured I found the issue and immediately checked the steering wheel & crawled around the ground looking for bent stuff.... Nothing obvious... but I did find that someone put an adjustable ball joint in & had the camber set wrong... the guy was complaining that the wheel was turned a 1/4 turn to the right to go down the road strait? There had to be something else... Then as I get on me knees to get off the ground, I notice something as I looked down the side of the truck... I can see the tire tread hanging out past the body.... Duh....LoL They hit a curb or something & broke the center bolt out of the spring. I got a case of "tunnel vision" as soon as I seen the marks on the sidewall of the steer tire... So I towed it back to the shop for repairs. You'd think the guy would of said something about the view out the rear view mirror?.... 3 Quote
