Dual Sanders? Is that what they called the chains that are on the axles that spin like on most buses for the winter?

Back in the day they would mount boxes in front  of the drive axle that had traction material, sand, in them and the driver could control the flow to put down some grit when needed. Really basic and simple system that led to the modern day automatic wheel chains common on buses and ambulances today.
