Warning light colors other than amber (which states)

Recommended Posts

Anywhere use warning lights other than Amber that are not part of a government, police, fire etc? Also which states allow clear to the rear? I know California doesn't.

I avoid clear warning lights to the rear. They have the tendency to blind oncoming traffic, more so than the other colors anyway.

We have been using all red here in Michigan for a couple yrs now with no problems and I think they show up twice as good and get a better response from motorists.

all amber in ohio. i personally would prefer a red & amber color combination for the entire industry. it would help differentiate us from utility companies, construction trucks and cable providers, etc.

a red /amber combo would be unique to our industry and could help the public move over for us.

Except for color blind people, red is very dark color. Blue is much brighter as is amber.
