TowNews
Incredible effort by all emergency crews, including Clayton's Caboolture team who were called on, using their tow trucks to assist in the technical rescue. Amazing part is no fatalities or life threatening injuries. Ute lands on top of three cars in spectacular smash in Caboolture An out-of-control ute has flown metres through the air before slicing the roof off one car and landing on top of two others. Three drivers were given the fright of their lives around 8.30am this morning on Pumicestone road in Caboolture in Brisbane's north, when witnesses say the ute came speeding down an off-ramp. Other drivers saw the plumbers’ vehicle speed over a traffic island, mount a kerb and then catapult over a median strip before smashing into traffic. Witness Rick Brewer said it looked like a movie scene. “The driver of the ute … was just in so much shock afterwards he was shaking on the ground,” he told 9NEWS. “Amazing that nobody was dead.” One of the car’s occupants walked unscathed from the scene, with the driver of the ute also escaping injury. Two women were rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Womens’ Hospital, with one in a serious condition. Police say they allegedly found drug utensils in the ute. No charges have yet been laid.
