TowNews Posted May 2, 2018 Share Posted May 2, 2018 A 22-year-old Virginia man was killed when his BMW struck a wrecker on the side of Crawfordville Highway in Wakulla County early Tuesday. Zachary Stephens of Waynesboro was heading south on Crawfordville Highway (US-319) 2:37 a.m. when his vehicle crossed the northbound lane and struck a tow truck parked facing north on the east shoulder of the highway. The tow truck driver had loaded a vehicle from a previous crash and was strapping it down when the accident occurred. The tow truck had its yellow emergency beacons activated. Stephens was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
