Platinum Sponsor BigWheelArchives Posted April 23, 2018 Platinum Sponsor Share Posted April 23, 2018 11-14-06 Received a call from the Mass State Police to respond immediately to Rte. 140N/N or Hathway Road for a car that crashed into the end of the guardrail and the guardrail went through the door and pinned the operator. They stated that they needed a wrecker to pull the guardrail so the injured driver could be extracted. We responded with our 60 ton rotator in order to swing the boom into position over the guardrail and pull the guardrail out of the car. After the guardrail was removed and the injured person was transported, we used the rotator to lift the car off the guardrail upright post that had penetrated the engine compartment, holding the car from being winched onto the flatbed. We lifted the car straight up off the guardrail post and loaded it onto a ramp truck and transported it to our Freetown shop.
