Z3 grinding the rail

Recommended Posts

On the morning of Jan 3rd 2022 we had some black ice, a Z3 came around a downhill turn catching the ice & jumped the railing. Being on an island in a very rural area we only recently have had guard rails installed but I have had this plan in my head & practiced it with a single wrecker in similar lift & swing recovery situations before. 2 trucks, both Chevron 408's, one at each end rigged wide for control/stability at the control arms front & rear, booms out, lift, drive trucks forward while cranking the wheels of the tow trucks away from each other, lower the car onto the road. Front & rear bumper covers were already damaged upon arrival so no worries of scratching them during the recovery.
