Hey Look it is the same truck fro the viral video taking a ride!

 

 

Police in Peel Region arrested a tow truck driver after dashcam video of his alleged reckless driving went viral.

 

The video, shot and uploaded to YouTube on Jan. 9, depicts a white chaser truck crossing into oncoming traffic to pass vehicles waiting at the intersection of Centre St. and Vodden St. E.

 

The truck narrowly avoids a head-on collision as it speeds south along Vodden towards Main St.

 

The video then shows the truck stopped nearly into the intersection at Main St., eventually running the red light and cutting off several vehicles that had the right-of-way.

 

Kwateng Phelan Asampong, 31, of Brampton, faces numerous charges, including dangerous driving, obstructing plate and street racing.

City of Brampton bylaw enforcement has also commenced an investigation.

 

Asampong’s truck was impounded and he’s scheduled to appear in court in March.
