EdsTowing
I have been busy with Heavy work for the last couple weeks. Here's a few jobs... International to a dealer for a Body Control Module. We do all their work but can't get these modules programed so we recommended it to a dealer. Hino truck quit in the middle of the road, back to the shop for repairs. Customer had 2 trucks go down on the same morning... Gas truck to the dealer for a Body Module...again with programing... This truck handles weight so nice... Called to lift an airplane so they could figure out the lifting points & balance of the unit. They were having a Huey Helicopter pick this up and carry it 40 miles to a school where it was donated to. Not difficult but interesting none the less...
mushspeed
Ed....It is good to see the Pete is working so well for you and earning its keep ... It appears you are having quite a lot of issues with programming of Body Modules ....Is that just unique to International or across the range ? John. EdsTowing
Now a days every function, light & switch goes through Body Control modules. They need oem software to program them. Cars & light trucks typically aren't a problem with what we have inhouse or a good friend of mine that does programming. But Heavy truck still has quite a grasp on the aftermarket, and retain a lot of proprietary software. The Freightliner was in for a State Inspection and failed for no right side turn signals or brake lights. When my guy traced it, water came out of the module and the harness plug was all green & rotted. 2019 truck so it went back for warranty. The International had random dash & and switch gear issues. Then it progressed to a no start condition. International had worked on it multiple times so I thought best to stay out of it...
