Heavy Duty Extrication Training...

We set up scenarios for our local fire departments all summer long. They have been training just about every weekend since June...

 

 

Saturday we picked up this Freightliner we got donated for an Stabilization & Extraction certification they are obtaining for new members....

 

 

"It's all ready to go"...Famous last words...LoL

So Vincent dropped it in the area and got it ready to roll over on a passenger car...

 

 

They got another old Volvo donated that we stood up on a drum but would need to be stabilized as well...

 

 

Then the team went at em!

 

 

This was used to roll the Volvo cab over. They figured it would give 2400 Lbs of resistance. They used a small Warn hand winch to pull it over...

 

 

Then they had to stabilize & lift a machine off a casualty...

 

 

This group represented 3 or 4 different local companies which I like to see. It's good to get exposure working with guys so you know that everyone is on the same page.

Excellent  hands on  training and multi service brainstorming....forging best working practices...

 

No Matter how many times you do it you are always learning

Great topic Mr. Ed. Not enough fire departments take advantage of this kind of "hands-on experience" and have no idea that tow trucks are available to assist. Thanks for sharing.
