TowTimes.com - Ranger PatrolWorks with License Plate Recognition

Recommended Posts

LPR-300x180.pngRanger SST has announced it is launching Ranger PatrolWorks with License Plate Recognition (LPR). The new Relocation/Private Property Impound (PPI) solution will include automated LPR detections primarily aimed at apartment complexes, university lots and temporary parking lots such as events, hospitals and airports.

Rather than manual lot surveys for vehicles without a valid permit/sticker, the  LPR cameras on a patrol vehicle quickly identify violations based on license plates.

Ranger PatrolWorks with License Plate Recognition (PW±LPR) is designed to offer property managers benefits that include added revenue, preservation of lot capacity for permit holders and reinforcement of property image standards.

PW±LPR features include:

• In-Vehicle LPR System: provides the spotter with up-to-date data – “Approved” and “Unapproved” LPs for fast on-scene detections

• PW Co-Pilot Mobile App equips the spotter to take more photos of LPR “hits”, and to enter other violations that are not permit-based – e.g., vehicles blocking fire lanes

• Portal for Property Managers: provides a tool for approving LPs, entering permits for visitors/contractors and tracking daily activity

• Portal for Permit Holders: provides a mobile-friendly website for registering their vehicle(s), purchasing permits, viewing violation information (pictures) and paying fines

The Ranger PW±LPR will be ready for rollout in the third quarter of 2021.
