When you go around a turn, the truck bar should pivot...substantially. Chaining it to the wheel lift would be counter productive and load that chain quite a bit.

Having the tow bar above horizontal is not recommended.. It can lift and fold over on a down hill or hard braking situation.

He has that bar WAAAY up there... Maybe thats why he chained it to the wheel lift?? But like Ed said, how can it pivot like that other than stress the chains BIG TIME.. Not to mention the winch lines are being used like sling straps, getting pressed against and rubbing on the lift gate.

Its amazing how many tow truck drivers do stupid things like this.There is zero understanding here how a tow bar works.This setup will turn over the tow truck easily or at very least overstress components of wrecker body that could fail catastrophically at a later date.
