  1. This is triple framed truck......350 mack engine auto with rockwell 49000lb rear....truck cruises at 65-68 mph....2 stage jake brake..... the wheel base is 17.5 feet or 210 inches...... has extendable recovery boom......40000lb winches..... and it has 144 of reach with the under reach NOTE this is not a dm600... it is a dm 688x... triple framed truck with a 49,000 lb rockwell rear...not a tiny 29000lb rear like in tandem truck.....its mutant....title also says 49k rear and vin verifies it...its not your normal city truck....its also integrated instead of the normal ramrod with zacklift
  2. This GMC General is an Alumium cab truck....the back is steel and had absolutely no rot or rust at time of these photos.. The truck started out in the south i believe Texas and had been garaged here since its completion and day one when we owned it..that was about 2006 Info in 2009 Equipment Listing: * big cam cummins 450 hp. recent inframe injectors and is turned up...all work done by certified cummins service center * tires front steer new rear 8 about 85 90%.....brakes new all the way around...new wheel seals and slack adjusters... * truck is 31.5 ft long from bumper to tail from steer axle to front tandem 210 inches from front axle to rear tandem 255 *total gvw on the tag is 49500....front axle is 12000lb and rears are 38000 a piece * we have researched a zack but we hate them...they are not safe and crack....we were going to and still will if we dont sell it go with a 35000lb NRC....why well its simple...its safer tows better has longer reach...its weight is supported by the boom not the tail board...u can hold much more weight and the weight is balanced on the base of the boom in the center of the truck...and nrc is also 15000 installd....the nrc would be like a hard bar...the weight on a hard bar are on the cables which is on the boom....truck will always tow better with the weight farther forward instead of a zack mounted to the tail board...we have another truck with an nrc....only it is 1 ft longer but same suspension.....it will tow anything loaded compactor tractor trailer bus...u name it....nrc is definately the way to go for an underlift...and like i said the weight is not on the tailboard....... * there is no spade between the rear stifflegs...they however penetrate the asphalt and work great when winching. * it is a 6800 challenger 3 stage....and the body is matching....we did not like the ufo pylon that came with the truck...it was the ugliest things we ever saw so we changed they pylon a bit and mounted it on the tool boxes instead of the rails halfway down the body were it came origionally.... this was a new move we did last week and are putting a light bar and work lights on it as im typing to you.. * the truck is immaculate...we wash it 3x a week and it lives indoors in a heated garage......the 2 pics with the boom out were taking monday 4/2/09.....the day we installed the pylon.... *everything is there for the ac but it was not hooked up after the inframe....yes it does have power steering.... * the lettering is paint and vinyl however.... we did not clear coat it for 2 reasons....1 we can change the scheme and 2 in case we sell equipment....it is easy with a hotsy power washer and some solvent to remove the flag scheme...the white and blue has been painted first then 3 weeks later after curing we did the flag scheme...the one pic posted was taking 10/1/08 and the others were last week....like i said we keep it indoors and it gets washed 2 or 3x a week even if it doesn't leave the garage... * it has brand new cables that haven't even been used yet on it and a few chains will go with it....we have 4 other heavies and we are just letting this one go for a landoll for our kenworth w 900... This SOLD on Tow411 in September of 2009; Accurate Towing posted THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR INTREST IN OUR GMC GENERAL....IT IS NOW SOLD...ID LIKE TO CONGRATULATE ASAP TOWING AND ROAD SERVICE FOR THEIR PURCHASE OF THIS UNIT..IT IS OFFICIALLY SOLD TO ASAP AND I AM SURE IT WILL MAKE THEM GREAT MONEY FOR MANY YEARS.... EVERYONE THAT LOOKED AND COMMENTED THANK YOU AND AS ALWAYS ACCURATE TOWING IS HERE FOR ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE WITH THE TOWING INDUSTRY .... ACCURATE TOWING HEAVY RECOVERY SPECIALISTS ASAPautomotive responded: Thanks for all the comments and thanks to Tom at Accurate for working with us on this deal. This will be our first heavy, so our 3212 can finally get a break. We are planning on picking it up right around the end of the month, and we can't wait to get it home and get it lettered. We are planning on leaving the stars and strips (should wake everyone up in the business and the accounts around here) and simply changing name and phone number. I'm currently waiting on 2 NRC dealers to get back with me on quotes for the add-on under-reach. Everyone check your garages and shops because we will very soon be looking for the equipment to supply the truck. Note there were numerous comments that have not been transferred from Tow411. A Follow up from Donny aka ASAPautomotive said: Thanks guys. I figured it was about time to jump into the shallow end of the big pool. I did a single axle L8000 dump truck lying on its side in a ditch... loaded with limestone, with my 3212 two weeks ago. Got the job done but it took way too long. Only lost about 1/4 - 1/3 of the load. Biggest problem was that I couldn't get the 3212 to anchor. With a larger truck I figure I should have been out of there in 30 minutes as opposed to an hour. Combine that with the other 3 calls we lost that needed a bigger truck that week, and my decision was made. Can't wait to get the underlift on it and get it home.
