  1. That's Not Many... Sounds Like a Holiday Song! I'm sure there are others having withdrawals. At least list the shows you're looking forward to in 2021. Yes am projecting there will be shows.
  2. I like the Move Over It's The Law Sign because it is more of a directive than a warning.
  3. "how would you approach a driver's reasonable complaint especially when temps surpass 100-degrees?" Many of us old Tow Ops drove enough trucks without A/C, Auto Trans, Power Windows/Locks, etc. I have had times when I have driven a truck a day or two without Air till it could be shopped. At extreme temps drivers begin to stress as they have become adjusted to cooling off in the truck. Without A/C the stress level goes up and productivity goes down. "Does the seat not have enough cushion for your liking??" To be honest a Seat is more important than A/C. I have a pinched nerve in my back and a worn out seat puts me out for a few days. Yes, I have to refuse, it's not an option. But, A/C I can deal with.

  6. @Kjband13oc OK, I sent you the link to complete the transaction. Make sure to enter the discount Code TF50OFF as it did not go through the FIrst or Second time. I did cancel the first payment so it does not process. This is a new glitch or something that I have not seen before.
  7. If you want to take the time to watch this video unless your a car hauler you may want to skip ahead toward the end around about the -16:45 is where Brian gets into it. Since I was not into most of the round table conversations I was pleasantly surprised when Brain c=got a chance to jump in there and it really brought the discussion to life for me. OK nearly 2 hours and Brian looks like he might be ready for a pillow. I'm off tonight and I have things to do tomorrow so I may have to catch the rest of it later. Just a reminder to those who have not used that TF50OFF discount code it's still active for a few more hours and you can go into the post to pledge your support this month. Thank you and we may attempt our own round table before the year is out. Have TowForce Grow and Support the Towing Information Network.
  8. Doubleellc did you use the TF50OFF Code? If so it's not showing up. That doesn't mean it's not in the system someplace and I have to track it down. I have located one other that was still in processing so it could be in there.

  13. Thank you Marshal, I will place a special discount code in a pm in a few days to be used prior to the end of September. NEXT, we desperately need new supporters. Really wish I didn't need to say that, but funds are low and the rainy day is empty. It lasted well over a year till it ran out about 6 months ago. I hate there have been no shows this year, hoping by next year the funds are there for as many as possible to make the show once again. We really need that structure in the industry. Thanks Again for the continued support, you may never know how valued our supporter have been over the many years.

  17. There have been several North Carolina cases, I'll see if we can get @Michael McGovern in here. He would be a good source
  18. Awh, isn't that cute, even has it's on kajuit or cuddy cabin. That is if that truly is a sleeper... I have found weight can really vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Anyone else notice that?
  19. Dave, I have heard the with some brands. We got some off brand from Home Depot that had issues. But, overall with a good set they are better than not having them. Or at least if you don't repack the bearing routinely. Since we don't have a garage I can do that in and must request it to be done. The covers with grease zerks work well.
  20. Dave, Looking Good! As much as you use dollies have you thought about adding grease caps? It's the best thing I ever did, no more having to repack them. The only things to be re-mindful of with grease caps is to keep grease in them and be mindful of how much grease is being put in them. Also, there are numerous manufacturers out now and last week I got a new set of dollies with shorter caps. I think I like them better. I know the caps that seal inside the brim do not come of as easy when using them and are cheaper to replace.
  21. OK, it's not easy to get together on these drawings. I'm working longer hours and school is back in. Youth Church started back in full session tonight and WOW was it a full house. I do not recall the last time I saw such a line of cars dropping off Middle & High School Age Youth. This is Good for both the Spirit and Soul. Hope those of you will Youth are able to get them back into society. How we need all sports to start back up. Our Children are better prepared now then we ever were to protect themselves from such viruses. Now on to the drawing! This Weeks T-Shirt Winners Mystery Prize Winner Every Member drawn has until next Tuesday September 8, 2020 to claim your prize. Don't Forget the 50% Discount Code for every supporter level. Thank you for your support. The Discount Code is TF50OFF https://www.towforce.net/subscriptions/
  22. A 28-year-old Cumberland woman was sentenced to serve 90 days at the Adult Correctional Institutions and 21 months in home confinement after she pleaded no contest to leaving the scene of a crash that seriously injured a tow-truck driver in 2019, according to Rhode Island Attorney General Peter F. Neronha. Emily Lowe drove away after striking the AAA tow-truck driver at about 2:30 a.m. on June 30, 2019, according to Neronha and the Woonsocket police. The driver was putting a disabled vehicle on his flatbed tow truck in the breakdown lane of Diamond Hill Road in Woonsocket, according to Neronha. Hit from behind, the driver, Kenneth Young of West Warwick, suffered multiple broken bones, according to information from Neronha and the Woonsocket police. The tow truck had its flashing lights on. After the Woonsocket police issued an alert, Cumberland police officers found Lowe’s damaged car at a McDonald’s restaurant several miles away, at a shopping plaza at 1754 Mendon Rd., law enforcement officials said. The vehicle had heavy front-end damage, according to the police. Investigators were able to tie the car, which was registered to Lowe, to the crash using DNA evidence, Neronha said. Several days after the crash, a witness told the Woonsocket police that Lowe had been driving the vehicle and acknowledged picking up Lowe at the McDonald’s on the night of the crash. The Woonsocket police obtained an arrest warrant for Lowe on July 22, 2019, and she was arrested four days later at an impound yard where her vehicle had been stored, the police said. On Monday, Superior Court Judge Maureen B. Keough sentenced Lowe to five years at the Adult Correctional Institutions with two years to serve and the balance suspended with probation. Lowe will serve 90 days at the ACI followed by 21 months in home confinement, Neronha said. The court also ordered that she lose her license for one year and complete 100 hours of community service. Officer Jason Berthelette of the Woonsocket Police Department led the investigation. Assistant Attorney General Jay Sullivan prosecuted the case. RESOURCE LINK
  23. Were those the ones that one side was clear and the other amber. There were a few back in the Sixties that ran them like that around here. I remember seeing them back in the Seventies. A the Mickey Mouse Look began to fade away there were fewer in the Eighties. They were great out in the rural areas, not so much in town as it's hard to determine where the light is coming from in town compared to strobes. On the Expressway they can be dangerous unless combined with other lights. Bugs & Drunks Loved them, so why were there not more tow truck struck. Oh, there likely was but we never heard about it. Most companies kept it to themselves back in the day, much like they were wrecker drivers killed which took years to find when the Wall of the Fallen was created.
