  1. You might have been a little slow but I know you have been making money! I see the hazmat clean up recovery equipment out that means money in the bank!!! Lol keep up the good work. Now that you mentioned it I guess I've been a little slow towing also but I haven't noticed or realized it because I have been busy as shit the past few weeks from all the rain we've had. I have had a bunch of stuck and in the ditch winch outs. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  2. I've moved a bunch, because no one around here will move them. They are all different. Sometimes I have hooked that isn't ideal. I just always make sure I have safety chains. If you are like me you will find something to hook too, you just have to get creative sometimes. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  3. Oh okay you have synthetic rope I can believe that. I know my 12k bed winch with steel would only hold 100' and my 9k ITD sidepull has 125' steel and it's really about too much. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  4. You must have a 20k on your bed because I put 100' on my bed once and it was full and I always had trouble. After it wore out I always put 75' on my bed . My ITD sidepull I have 125' and it's full. 25' more wouldn't fit so you must also have a 20k winch on your sidepull. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  5. Ed after having a sidepull I will not have another rollback without it. Someone that doesn't do recovery doesn't need a sidepull. It does ad a good bit of weight to the truck but it has saved me from having to call for another truck many times. If you have a sidepull the only advantage a wrecker has is if you need a boom to lift and 99% I can figure something out that I can just use the sidepull. Also the sidepull has gotten me out of bad situations when I'd get stuck I can let the outriggers down and pick the front tires off the ground and put lumber down and drive out. I've had a sidepull over 10 years now and wish I would have gotten one sooner. Earlier on I would see them and when I would talk to others about buying one they would say it's a waste ect. ect. and I never bought one then in 2012 I went to purchase a new truck and they had it already built with everything I made a deal and after getting use to the sidepull and seeing it's capabilities I was like damn I should have done this sooner. 7. People still think you should tow cars for $40 . I got a sheriff call about 10pm the other night car in the ditch when I got there the owner says I just want you to pull it out and I'm going to drive it. She said I have full coverage. I said you going to have to pay me $250 now and take that up with your insurance or let me take the car and notify the insurance and they will pay. She pays. The deputy walks over and said about 100 yards on down the road is a guy in the ditch that said when you get through here to come pull him out that he's got a few hundred dollars and will pay you whatever you want. I get the lady out she pays and the deputy tells her that her report will be ready in a couple days the deputy leaves and so does the lady I pulled on down the road and found the guy hook to him pulled him out and asked do you want a receipt he says wait you are charging me? I said yeah he says you were already here pulling the lady out.I explained that the deputy told me that you said for me to come pull you out and you would pay. I said if you don't pay I loading you up cause I haven't unhooked yet just have him out. He said how much I said its $250 he said you mean to tell me it's 250 when you didn't come 100 yards and didn't pull me 20' I said yes sir its $250 after hours and you couldn't got any one for less than $250 he said but you were already here. I told him it's $250 or I'm fixing to load you up and call the deputy to come get your ass. He finally pays and raises hell the whole time. Would you guys gave a discount being you was already out? I have always charged full price even if I was out. That guy just couldn't understand why and thought I was robbing him. I said if you called anyone else it would cost $250 minimum he said that would be fine they had to come out you were already here. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  8. That is 3/8 cable. Nice looking wrecker keep it serviced and it will last forever. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  9. I would add the cost of transporting the driver the 30 miles to the truck recovery. They will pay. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  10. The good thing this is with Uhaul you will get paid and you can charge for everything you had on site. Keep up the awesome work! Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  11. I hate a trash truck also. They always smell like roadkill. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  12. Nice job . You wouldn't believe the things I have pulled out with the side puller on my medium duty rollback. I've pulled power companies f550 4x4 bucket trucks down to the bumpers. The first time I tried when I got there I was like damn going to need the 50ton but I was like hell let me try first I ran a 4 part line and it brung it out . After seeing that I always just go with it unless I know it's a loaded tractor trailer then I go in the 50 ton. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  13. I say yes because if you go repossess a car and damage it you are responsible. Only thing is that being the guys trying to get it wasn't successful it would be hard to prove it was them unless they have some sort of proof. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  14. Damn gotta love it! Made the winch out & tow money plus the R&R on the axels! Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  15. I love when they tell me you need a bigger truck. I don't argue I say no problem and call for the heavy and charge the shit out of them. Nice job as always. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  16. Nice job Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  17. The youtube wouldn't play Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  18. The fiber core is easy-to-use but isn't as strong and will not last as long. Also if you do much pulling and stuff like we do you will break the fiber core easy Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  19. A steel swag is the best imo they last way longer but are stiffer and takes a little more to train them to lay on the spool. Apparently a 3/8 swag is originally a 7/16 cable that's been stretched down to a 3/8. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  20. Looked like a good job to break in the new truck. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  21. You putting this 16k on a tandem chassis? I would get a 24' or 26' Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  22. Ed why couldn't you get it with your big stick ? The bridge not hold you? I understand them bringing in their on hazmat. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  23. How far in the woods was he? You didn't have a hard time getting back to him? I would have probably took my skid steer and winch box to recover it. I would have been scared my big wrecker would have gotten stuck. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  24. I seen where davis 4x4 makes a detachable gooseneck. I like it but I haven't seen it in person. From the videos it looks like it maybe kinda cheap made. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
