  3. Talbert Manufacturing, a North American leader in specialized heavy-haul solutions, recently updated the 60CC/55SA-LD trailer for increased flexibility to meet differing hauling regulations. This trailer showcases a new hydraulically-operated system to allow operation of the third axle only or a combination of third and fourth axles. The 60CC/55SA-LD also features an 18-inch loaded deck height and six-inch ground clearance. It also gives operators the ability to switch between configurations for load versatility and to limit the need for additional permitting. The base model of the 60CC/55SA-LD features a 108-inch swing radius, 26-foot deck length and 8-foot-6-inch deck width. Additional customization is possible, including a 24-inch flip gooseneck extension that increases swing radius to 132 inches and allows greater load transfer capabilities. Like all Talbert trailers, the 60CC/55SA-LD offers an industry-leading deck capacity rating. With a four-axle, close-coupled configuration, it provides a 55-ton capacity in 10 feet and 60 tons in half the deck length. It is also rated for 55 tons in half the deck length with a 132-inch swing radius and 3+1 configuration with the E1Nitro axle extension system. This system uses a combination of hydraulic fluid and nitrogen to equalize axle pressures, providing proportionate weight distribution of each axle grouping to optimize the range of suspension movement and minimize stress for a smoother ride. The 60CC/55SA-LD is manufactured with T-1, 100,000-psi minimum yield steel for durability and longevity. Valspar R-Cure 800 paint is standard on all Talbert trailers to prevent corrosion and offer a long-lasting finish. For more information visit www.talbertmfg.com. 9. That was refreshing for me personally. Now I do not feel nearly as bad about some of the really stupid things I did before I saw the light. I was a borderline genius compared to that! Have a safe and blessed weekend everyone!
  10. Go to your local library and check out a book titled "Entree Leadership" by Dave Ramsey. It is a must read. Be cautious in the business seminar arena. There are a large number of snake oil salespeople. The RBU seminar is a real eye opener. I did not know one could complete WreckMaster classes on line. WreckMaster as you have discovered is a widely accepted training curriculum. I always thought you had to attend an active class.

  14. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Enrique.....wishing him a speedy and full recovery.. From your fellow towers in the UK.... John.
  15. Drowned? This sounds suspicious especially since it's the same police department 'investigating' that had her arrested.
  16. George, Towbook has a free trial of a month I think. (Then $49 a month.) My son set it all up in a couple of days and the Towbook people have been very attentive to any problems we had. Holly's Towing Dispatch might be an alternative for you although I have no idea what she charges. http://hollystowingdispatch.com/ That way you can concentrate on towing and let the dispatch service talk to the overseas dispatchers lining up work for you.
  17. I support this site, but still do not see any bars.....Why??
  18. I'm still trying to get going again with Digital Dispatch. $100 a month is too much for me. I went with TM and in a week it still wasn't working right, and they want to charge me for that week. I would think about not using any but I do Allstate and I can't understand what any of the dispatchers say because they aren't in the US. Also there e-mail can take up to an hr to show up. Swoop now requires me to sign up with Agero and I will not work for there rate. What's left.
  19. Amazing. This non-standard, potentially deadly, industry technique, is called an, "End Roll", where there are several YouTube videos of the same practice. And, if I'm a new tow operator looking to learn how-to do rollovers, videos like this plant the seed of incompetency, not to mention what kind of damage it's doing to the underside weld's of the carrier? Nice going !!! R.
  20. Fire tends to smolder and if fire doesn't consume all interior seats, upholstery, or whatever, re-ignition is always possible. And ... you can bet, if that car is ablaze on the back of my carrier's deck, I'm gonna' do whatever I can to get it off the deck versus taking video of it. I'm just funny that way. R.
  21. ... one shouldn't have to block their car in their driveway unless it's about to be repossessed. This part of San Diego County is only a few miles to the International border crossing to Mexico when many, many cars wind up. R.
  22. That’s an awesome post, Very very true. Last night I snagged my wife’s laptop so I can check out wreckmaster classes. I have all the proper requirements that they ask for in prefer to take the classes on line. My wife had already started to check out classes dealing with business operations. Today I will be meeting up with a gentleman who helps guys like myself get started with businesses. I’m looking forward to hearing and learning what he has to tell me. All in all I will be starting this company up hopefully sooner rather than later. The area I live in is growing drastically there is so much potential in running a tow company here. I will have to take it one step at a time for obvious reasons but once I have my feet wet in the towing industry I plan on leaving my 9-5er and start running Nonstop. Thank you goodmichael for your post I really appreciate the knowledge you give me and I will be working on everything you and the other fellas out there have to tell me. I take it seriously.
