ORISKA, N.D. (KFGO) - A NDDOT plow and a tow truck were hit by semi on I-94 while the road was closed over the weekend. Around 10 a.m. Saturday, a tow truck was hauling a semi out of the median. A DOT snowplow came upon the tow truck and was going to provide traffic control when another semi side swiped the plow and the tow truck. The driver of the semi was cited for care required and driving on a closed road. No Further Details and there were no injuries. RESOURCE LINK

North Dakota highway trooper nearly hit by drunk driver FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - A North Dakota highway trooper is counting their blessing after nearly getting hit by a drunk driver. Jennifer Hirchert, 32, was arrested for driving under the influence and it’s her fourth DUI since 2014 and second of this year, according to North Dakota Highway Patrol. Slimsanta Reported June 4, 2013: Highway 83 Fatal Rollover One person was killed in a single vehicle accident early this afternoon on Highway 83 south of Minot. A semi tow-truck that was hauling a pick-up was heading north on 83 and entered the median just after the noon hour. The vehicle then hit an approach and rolled, killing the driver - a 37-year-old Minot man. The name of the victim hasn't been released yet and the accident is under investigation by the Highway Patrol. The News Link is Broken as well as the Obit Details. VALLEY CITY, ND (Valley News Live) Several individuals were injured after a semi rear-ended a tow truck on I-94 East of Valley City Friday, March 1st. The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that at around 11:45 AM, a flatbed tow truck was stopped on the left side of I-94 removing a passenger vehicle from the median. The driver was outside of the truck when he saw a semi approaching, rear-ending the tow truck. The tow truck driver was able to get out of the way and was not injured. MANDAN, N.D. — A man allegedly stole a tow truck in Mandan on Monday then drove it into a slough as he was trying to flee from police. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Mandan police received a report of a stolen tow truck around 12:45 p.m. Dec. 10. A trooper saw the truck on Interstate 94 near the Bismarck a short time later and tried to stop the vehicle.
