Another Gas Truck Recovery...

Got a call this morning from my new favorite delivery driver....You guys think I'm joking about the frequent flyer comment....LoL Today he tried to go up a hill and 1/2 way up he stopped at a sign. Then when he went to proceed, the ass slid sideways in to the snow bank. Somehow from that position, he decided to take a different method and ended up sliding down a steep hill in to a deep ditch.

 

 

Pic doesn't do the hill justice...when I stopped the first time & set the brakes, the wrecker started to take off down the hill. I was a little pissed that he told me to come this way since it wasn't sensible & the only thing to come of it would be him running in to the back of me! So we went back down the hill & got stuck at the bottom. Got out and made our way around the back side...

 

 

Told him good thing we didn't put the box back on because this would of smashed it again. Loaded w/ 50%...

 

 

Got him up & out with a little help. Then after he set his brakes, they wouldn't hold it on the hill (badly out of adjustment). So I held the truck & Ronnie adjusted all the brakes up...

 

 

On to the next....

Got to realize though, if he knew the "logical" way to come in or do things you may not need to be there in the first place. I know you can't fix stupid, but that's what pays the bills!

Yea we've bonded now...not ready for warm showers in the candle light yet but...you know....I'm his "Guy" when he's in the ditch...LoL The truck got dropped off tonight to fix some of these issues...we are thinking of holding up on the tool box & new step brackets. Got some 4" exhaust pipe in stock...don't think that will around long.

So that is why the price of gas went up in the area! They had to cover for all the towing.
